$5000 sponsorship received this week as 25 award categories finalised with $2000 worth of giveaways confirmed

Hello fellow car enthusiasts. We are very proud to announce that we have received the biggest sponsorship for a car show with a cheque of $5000 from Global Warehouse – distributors of Penrite Oils.

Not only this, Global Warehouse has assured us that they will also hand out hampers worth $2000 to winners of the car show.

We have lots of prizes to give away – not only for cars that will take part but also spectators as well. We will have lucky door prizes as well.

We are proud to announce we have now finalised 25 award categories for participants with details mentioned in this column.

The Penrite Car Show will be held next Saturday at the Handicraft Centre Carpark in Suva from 3pm t 9pm.

We will also have a top executive from Penrite Oil Australia present on the day to officiate the Car Show.

I also would like to invite sports car owners from the Western Division to come and showcase your ride to the people of Central Division.

Currently as it sits, Suva has a lot of sports cars that people around Fiji are aware of as they always come to the car shows.

But saying so, I do know the Western Division has a lot of highly modified cars and sports cars. This is the time to showcase what your car and indeed your pride is all about.

The reason we are doing this on a Saturday evening is so that people of the Western Division can participate on Saturday and then return home on Sunday.

Road safety awareness

Also we have received approval from the sponsors that we can divert some of the funds to create road safety awareness on public roads especially for young drivers.

Accidents can be avoided. I am talking about accidents that have causalities and also accidents and that do not have causalities.

We want to concentrate more on educating young drivers on the importance of road safety and staying within your legal speed limit.

Fiji Car Club feels that it must do its part to ensure that the public road is safe for all users.

Do participate

Too end this week’s column, I request all of you to come and share your pride – your cars – with all of us.

Please do bring along your families – especially the younger ones as this is the opportune time to get the younger generation involved in motor sports.
