Team Fiji women’s rugby sevens rover, Litia Naiqato, has asked Fijians around the world to remember them in their prayers.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, Naiqato said the task before them, which starts early tomorrow morning was not easy but however, not an impossible one.

“It is the overwhelming support from home that has kept us going,” she said.

“Please continue backing us up as we look forward to playing in our first Olympic Games.”

Naiqato said they have received messages from home and were encouraged by it.

“We had a good preparation in Chile and now we are in Rio. We need your prayers as are about to play Australia, USA and Colombia in the pools. We have prepared well and are looking forward to the challenge.”

Naiqato said they would treat every game like it’s their last.

“The girls are prepared. We are now enjoying the facilities and the whole Olympic atmosphere.” Edited by Leone Cabenatabua
