The Rosie Group has announced the development of a digital travel app that provides all information online for tourists to make planning for a Fiji vacation very easy.
The Feejee Traveller App is free to download from the AppStore for all Apple device users and also from Google PlayStore for all Android device users.
It carries a vast amount of information on accommodation, travel to and within the country, sighting-seeing and experience options and dining and entertainment.
Being digital, it is easily updated and Rosie will ensure that all information is correct.
Tourists can also book and pay for any of the items online using a secure payment system, with bookings confirmed immediately.
This is yet another first for the Rosie Group and they are very proud of the quality and user-friendly nature of the material.
Rosie is the largest operator of hotel and resort tour desks in Fiji and they have used all this experience with the tourists in Fiji to ensure everything they need is in the app.

An exciting platform
Tourism Fiji’s newly-appointed chief executive, Matthew Stoeckel, was Chief Guest at the launch in Nadi yesterday.
He said: “I am delighted to be included in the launch of what will be a fantastic and important tool for international visitors.
“They can research and make a reservation for some of Fiji’s leading activities, tours and excursions before arriving in Fiji and also whilst here in the islands.
“It provides an exciting new platform to reach potential visitors and enhance the customer experience of booking a holiday in Fiji.”
In launching the App, Rosie Holidays managing director, Tony Whitton, said the app would be a powerful marketing tool for Fiji to the world.
“What makes destinations unique are experiences,” he said.
“This is something that we hope to achieve with the Feejee Traveller App by showcasing to the world the amazing activities you can experience when you come to Fiji.
“Our research shows what makes a destination is not just the “Room and Bathtub” but more importantly the enriching, unique and inspiring activities the destination offers the international visitor.”
Entry into the digital arena
Rosie Holidays’ foray into the digital arena was spearheaded by its general manager, Eroni Puamau, who said advances in technology prompted them to invest in a mobile travel app.
“The Feejee Traveller App marks Fiji’s entry into the digital age of mobile channel marketing and we are very excited to be the first to make this a reality for Fiji,” he said.
“We are now living in a world where people are becoming more and more digitally-connected, using these mediums to manage their lives.
“What really excites me most about the Feejee Traveller App are the endless possibilities that can be achieved.
“This would be in delivering Fiji content dynamically right into the hands of all our international visitors, who are all used to receiving content via their smart phones and other smart devices.
“We have just arrived at the doorstep of this whole new digital world”.

Collaborative effort
The creation of the Feejee Traveller App is a collaborative effort between Rosie Holidays and a Fiji technology design company called iTvTi, owned by local entrepreneur and leading international retail fashionwear icon, Rob Cromb.
Mr Cromb said: “We were inspired by Eroni’s vision to create this app and share the same view of how digital represents the new frontier for marketing.
“As the key development partner with Rosie Holidays, we are very excited about what this app will do to complement the efforts of Tourism Fiji and our tourism industry in promoting our destination to the world.
“I am also immensely proud of my young team of homegrown Fijian programmers who have delivered user-friendly app of world class standards.
“It’s not easy to be accepted by Apple with their strict standards for qualifying new apps and to have our Feejee Traveller app featured on their AppStore with 5 star reviews really speaks volumes of the talent of our Fijian people and what we can achieve.”

Download options
The Feejee Traveller App is also available in Chinese mandarin.
The Feejee Traveller App will also be hosted on the Vodafone Appstore for free download by customers.
Vodafone Fiji Chief Marketing Officer, Rajnesh Prasad, said: “The App is a must have tool for any traveller to Fiji with loads of travel information on Fiji.
“The App will also be pre-installed on all Vodafone prepaid Bula Sim cards available widely through all major tourist outlets and ports of entry.
“Rosie Holidays has led the way in giving travellers to Fiji a “wow experience” through innovative products and services.”
