Former Nadroga rep Paula Karatu believes the Skipper Cup final between his provincial team side and RC Manubhai Suva should live up to expectations.

BLK Nadroga defends the title against the capital side at the ANZ Stadium in Suva at 3.30pm today.

“Suva always relies on their forwards to set the platform but it should be a good, tough and exciting Skipper Cup final,”Karatu said.

Karatu was a member of the Nadroga team which ended Suva’s unbeaten run with a 32-10 win in the final of ANZ Stadium in 2011.

The side was led by  Jikoibau Matawalu and included Jonetani Ralulu, Jonetani Ratu, Rupeni Nasiga,  Sekove Leawere and Etonia Naba, Karitu, Manoa Tamaya and Seremaia Naureure.

“We had just returned from the Fiji Warriors tour and Suva was tough but we ended their winning run,” Karatu said.
