Bua beat Taveuni 7-2 in the Vodafone Senior League at Ratu Ganilau Park in Savusavu yesterday.

What happened: Jason Chand opened the floodgates scoring the first goal in the first minute before Mohammed Yasin of Taveuni scored the equaliser with a header in the 5th minute.

Rohinesh Singh scored the second goal for Bua in the 25th minute.

In 37th minute, Jaison Chand took advantage of the free kick for the team to lead at halftime with 3-1 win.

In the 47th minute, Chand scored another goal for Bua. Taveuni’s Nalinesh Nand scored the second goal for his side in the 55th minute.

Anish Kumar scored and Aisake Kedraika sealed the win for Bua.

Comment:

Bua coach Suresh Sharma; “My players played to plan and I’m happy.”

Taveuni coach Navneel Sharma: “We travelled early in the morning and the players just ate bread.Despite the loss we look forward  to face Savusavu and Seaqaqa next week.”
