Nanukuloa Furious Over No Show

Nanukuloa Rugby Union coach Moape Paulebole was a disappointed man yesterday.
This was after the Nadroga Under-23 side failed to turn up for their Vodafone Trophy match at Prince Charles Park in Nadi yesterday.
Paulebole’s fury stemmed from wasted resources and finance in bringing his side and supporters all the way from Ra.
“We spent a lot of time preparing for this match and people have kept aside whatever little money they had to make the trip down to Nadi,”Paulebole said.
“It’s just a complete waste of time and money.
“We have very little resources in Nanukuloa and we should have been informed before we travelled down.
“We won by default but I am not happy with the way we were not informed.”
Match commissioner Penisoni Waki said he had no information on why the Nadroga Under 23 side did not turn up.
“Because of their absence, I have awarded the match to Nanukuloa.”
Waki said FRU will decide what penalty to impose on the Nadroga Rugby Union for their team not turning up.
