Engineering Student Acknowledges Designers

Project Jejemon Model of the Year winner 19-year-old Kristina Nagan knows the behind-the-scene work involved before she comes out on the catwalk to showcase the work put into those outfits.
The Fiji National University student heaped praise on the garb creators after taking out the top award.
“I am so thankful to my fashion designers for designing my clothes,” Ms Nagan said.
“I look forward to participate in the Fiji Fashion Week and Project Jejemon next year.”
Ms Nagan was declared the 2016 Project Jejemon model of the year on Saturday of the 20 posers who participated in front of a crowd of 150 guests at the Project Jejemon at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva on Saturday night.
Taking part for the first time, Ms Nagan did not expect to be announced the 2016 Project Jejemon model of the year.
“I am so happy to be announced 2016 Project Jejemon model of the year.
“Modeling is my hobby,” she said.
The teenager is a first year FNU student studying electronics and instrumentation at the Samabula Campus. She is originally from Banaras in Lautoka. She also participated at the Fiji Fashion Week last year.
“I was encouraged by my parents and my friends to take up modeling.
“I thought Project Jejemon would be the best place for me to start modeling,” she said.
Ms Nagan said Project Jejemon was the best platform for young models and fashion designers to showcase their talents.
