Suva Wary Of Challenge

The Suva teams completed their preparation for the Rewa Galaxy Kaji Rugby competition with a church service at the Raiwaqa Methodist Church yesterday.
Suva Kaji Rugby president Michael Koroi said the service was a boost for the boys as they go into the competition starting at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today.
“The church service was beautiful, if you prepare and then forget about the spiritual side you probably won’t perform too well,” Koroi said.
“We’ve always made it a point to have our church service, because that completes the whole preparation.”
Despite dominating the tournament in the past, Koroi said they would be doing the best they can this year.
“We are not very confident going into the competition, but we are going to try and do the best that we can with what we have.
“Last year, Tailevu had four teams in the finals and Cakaudrove two and that shows that the other districts have caught up to us.
“Some of the district coaches have Level One, Two accreditations. We don’t have that in Suva but only hardworking teachers.
“I would like to wish all the other districts all the best.
“I know some of them have travelled all the way from Vanua Levu and Kadavu despite all the hardships they face.
“Despite the massive devastation caused by Cyclone Winston in February, Cakaudrove, Seaqaqa and Macuata are all in Suva and I want to wish them all the best.”
