The new Vodafone Hibiscus float procession route.

The Vodafone Hibiscus Festival float procession will start from Rewa Street near the Flagstaff pharmacy and travel along the Laucala Bay Road on the final day of the festival.

Hibiscus Events Group executive chairman, Hirdesh Prasad said the change follows the new venue at the Vodafone Arena at Laucala Bay Road. Previously, the float procession would go through the capital city’s main street.

He said the ground will be operational by Friday and ready to serve the public.

“The new venue is a blessing in disguise for us and people will not have to worry about the muddy ground with the solid foundation and the perfect surface that’s set up,” he said.

He said the group is working with the Fiji sports council and the Fiji police force in ensuring tight security during the festival.

Mr Prasad is pleading with parents to ensure their children wear proper attire during rainy weather and keep them close by as they move around the ground.
