Miss World Fiji 2016 Pooja Priyanka will be the new brand ambassador for Fiji International.

This was announced by the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation chief executive, Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum during their agreement with Fiji International yesterday.

Priyanka will be featured on billboards, event advertisements, flyers and editorials provided by Miss World Fiji while being the face of Fiji International.

“FBC as representatives of Miss World Fiji and Fiji International in Pooja Priyanka who won Miss World Fiji to be the brand ambassador for Fiji International,” he said.

“I think it’s a win-win situation, we want every young lady who will be representing Fiji this year in the Miss World competition to win and this is a great platform to get all the publicity that we can get for the competition.

“This tournament is being seen by peoples around the world. We hope that Fiji International will do a good things once again this year, it will attract a lot of people in Fiji, a lot of spin offs and everyone will benefit from this,” he said.

Meanwhile, FBC has come on board partnering with International Golf Partners Limited.

FBC will now promote and cover all events leading up to the tournament.

Sayed-Khaiyum added they are happy to show their commitment as it not only promotes sports in Fiji but the country as well.

Fiji International event manager Harmony Thomas acknowledged FBC’s partnership.

“To have Miss World Fiji Pooja Priyanka on board is fantastic for us as well as a brand ambassador not only will it compliment Fiji, it will also complement the tournament Fiji International itself because what that means is we have a new market to look at and I’m sure Pooja and Miss World Fiji in general has a huge following for ladies and men and we can expected drive at the Fiji International” he said.
