Businesses with focus on the tourism industry continues to thrive – the recent one being Beach Boutique Fiji which has opened its third outlet in the Western Division.

Beach Boutique Fiji is an Australian company specialising in beachwear and which entered the Fijian market with significant investment.

It’s most recent investment has been with the opening of an outlet at the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort on Yanuca Island in the Coral Coast.

Owner, Tracey Farrington, said: “It’s a very nice small store and it specialises in resort wear especially Cortez and the hats.

“It’s a beautiful bright coloured boutique where we were able to offer to the resort management and to the guests something that’s a little bit of different to what’s already out there.

“We are not clashing with the current outlet out there right now. We’re offering something that’s quite different which is a nice variety for the Shangri-La to have.”

Ms Farrington said they are very proud to be a part of the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort boasting a very special location.

Growth path

As the business continues to expand, Ms Farrington has had to import her shop fitting from Australia.

“We are on the growth path for our boutiques. The boutique needed some new shop fitting so we invested in these and the floor and the stalls,” she said.

“I feel that were investing in to a fantastic location at the Shangri-La and we hope that it will give a return which we feel it will in a business sense.

“It’s a very big hotel, they a having some renovation at the moment. I believe next year they are going to celebrate their 50th anniversary so we are very proud to be part of the Shangri-La.”
