Ballantine Memorial School girls 7s team won the Fiji Women Crisis Centre Girls 7s tournament yesterday.

BMS defeated Nuku Secondary School 22-12 at the ANZ Stadium

Team manager Lice Kavika said it was sweet revenge after losing to Nuku in the Southern Zone match.

“We’re so fortunate to get the support from the school to participate even though we didn’t have any uniforms to start with,” Kavika said.

“We thank the Fiji Rugby Union for providing it and we’re pleased we reached the final.

“We’re so happy that we have made it and we praise God for that.

“We’re thankful to FRU for developing women’s rugby because through rugby they can secure contracts overseas.”

BMS defeated Holy Cross in the quarterfinal 12-5 and went on to beat St Vincent in the semi final.
