Celebrations for Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens gold medal win have extended to Fijians living in other Pacific island countries as well.

In Tonga, the Fijian community is holding their gold medal celebration in Nukua’lofa on Saturday.

Event organiser Iliesa Tora said yesterday they are looking forward to Saturday and are calling all Fijians to come out in numbers to celebrate the Olympic win.

“We’re getting ready and the celebration march kicks-off in Nuku’alofa to honour our Fijian sevens heroes,” he said.

“We have made special t-shirts and are looking forward to the celebration, which will be a time of feasting.”

A Fijian rugby fan Mere Tunabuna told SUNsports that she is going to wear her blue wig during the march.

“This is the time we will celebrate as Fijians so we are coming together to be part of the march and the activities that follow,” she added.
