It was one of the busiest days for the ice-cream seller Mohammed Yunas Ali.

Mr Ali, 45, of Nadawa, Nasinu, has been selling ice-creams at the ANZ National Stadium for the past three years now and he said it was one of the biggest and busiest days for him.

“I am very proud of the team. Because of them I can proudly say I am a Fijian, from the land of the rugby legends,” Mr Ali said.

“Before this celebration, I was not allowed inside the gate to sell ice-creams, but today it came to my surprise when I was given a chance to go inside the stadium and sell,” Mr Ali said.

“I did not expect that I would be able to see the celebrations of the Rio Olympic Gold and see the rugby 7s team but thank God I did.”

Mr Ali and his son Shahil Ali, 13, were among many thousands who were present at the national stadium to celebrate our sevens gold medal win in Rio.
