The Police have thanked the public for their support in the incident-free celebrations in Nadi and Suva.

The celebrations welcomed home our victorious Rio Olympic 7s rugby heroes.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Tito Elo said: “Both the celebrations in Nadi and Suva were incident free and we appreciate the public for taking our advice and co-operating with the Police Force.”

“This wouldn’t have been possible without our friendly forces assistance from RFMF and Fiji Correction Services, the joint operation went well.”

There were more than 300 police officers at the ANZ Stadium assisting with the crowd and ensuring that the celebrations were incident free yesterday.

The Sunday welcome of the Fiji Seven’s team at Prince Charles Park was assisted by 100 Police officers in the west.
