It’s good to be back in Fiji after 31 years, said Afghan delegate, Ahmad Shafi Ghafoor.

“I came to Fiji with my family in 1982 where my father worked for the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), and we lived in Laucala Beach estate area,” Mr Ghafoor said.

He attended International Secondary School (ISS) with his siblings and said he has very good memories of Fiji especially in Suva.

He was very impressed with the development he has seen coming back and is looking forward to catching up with his former high school mates.

Mr Ghafoor is the only sole representative from Afghanistan attending this year’s World Technical Vocation and Education training (TVET) Conference 2016 held at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
