It was a spectacular sight indeed. Ten classic cars from the 1950s era join the others to escort our Rio Olympics team from the Nadi Airport to Prince Charles Park in Lautoka the past Sunday.

Fiji Classic Car Club president, Sunil Prasad thanked the Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Faiyaz Siddiq Koya, for the opportunity to rally their gold cars in welcoming the gold winners of the Rio Olympics Rugby tournament.

The cars were driven back and forth from the Nadi Town to the Airport since early Sunday morning to increase the hype and alert the Fijians that our 7s gladiators were touching down soon.

The cars were allied on the road with other bikers who stole the road show as hundreds of people from Nadi crowded on the streets to greet and be a part of the celebrations of the Ben Ryan coached Fiji 7s team.

Also joined in the celebrations were the bikers who had a meet at Denarau but joined to welcome the winners.

People turned up in all sorts of dresses with kitchen utensils to make loud noises and join in the spectacular celebrations.
