Sunshine Coast surfers Holly and Sam Williams are confirmed for this weekend’s Powerade Junior Pro.

This was confirmed yesterday by Fiji Surfing head coach Ian Portingale who said they are part of the strong international field for the Junior Pro.

“There will be junior surfers from Vanuatu, New Zealand, Samoa and Australia competing against a strong local Fijian group,” he said.

Portingale said Holly is the Queensland top junior girl who will set a high standard during the competition. The inaugural event presented by Cloudbreak kicks-off at the Sigatoka Sand Dunes in Kulukulu on Friday.

“There will be signs-up on the Queens Road to enable people to find where the event is taking place.”

There are a total number of 45 confirmed participants but the numbers are expected to increase before the competition starts. The opening ceremony will be held at Club Masa, Sigatoka.
