Prime Fiji Limited Pleads Not Guilty

Prime Fiji Limited has pleaded not guilty at the Suva Magistrates Court to charges of forgery and using forged documents.

Its national operational manager, Atunisa Matavesi, appeared before Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne.

The alleged offence occurred between April 1 to 30, 2016.

It is alleged Prime Fiji Limited made a false performance security document for Westpac Banking Corporation for the streetlight renewals amounting to $351,865.

It was also alleged that this was done with intention to dishonestly induce Fiji Roads Authority officials in their capacity as public officials to accept it as genuine and to dishonestly influence the exercise of their function.

The court has been adjourned to October 5 for pre-trial conference.
