Albert Park Opens On Monday

Suva’s newly-refurbished Albert Park, one of Fiji’s iconic landmarks, will be officially opened tomorrow.
The site had undergone a multi-million dollar development since April last year.
The refurbished Albert Park, which was previously known as the yearly venue of the Hibiscus Festival, now features a thousand-seat capacity grandstand, new turf and other sporting and retail facilities.
The park’s first official event will be the inaugural Constitution Day celebrations on Wednesday commemorating the Fijian constitution which had established a foundation for our modern democracy.
The Constitution Day celebrations will commence with a march from the Suva Flea Market to Albert Park at 10.00am and will feature performances including the Republic of Fiji Military Forces band, Natabua Marching Band, Police Band, Xavier College, Chinese Youth group, National Youth Band among many more.
All Fijians are invited to attend this event.
