Venus won the St John’s Anglican Primary School inter-house athletics competition at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.
Venus collected 19 gold, 15 silver and 9 bronze medals, Pluto came second ( 17, 8, 8), Mars finished third (6, 8,3) while Jupiter finished fourth (3, 4,6).
The Wailoku-based school will compete for the first in the Suva Zone Two competition at the ANZ Stadium on September 22.
“Our inter-house was a success and we look forward to participate in our first Suva Zone Two competition. We know the competition will not be easy,”physical education teacher Ropate Lometi said.
“We are planning to send a team of 40 athletes.”
