The Waisea Tale coached- Nadroga football team will have to lift their game as they face 4R Electrical Ba in the Vodafone Premier League clash at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka today.

The Stallions are banking on Simione Damuni, Pramesh Prasad, Gerard Voi, Shivneel Sharma and Yogendra Reddy for an upset win.

Nadroga Football Association interim president Jiko Matawalu said yesterday they are keeping their fingers crossed for a good outcome to bury their performance at the recent Battle of the Giants tournament.

“This is a vanua based-team and it is only proper that while rugby is up there soccer should also be there because they have one important factor in common which is the team name Nadroga,” he said.

“NFA needs to move on hail or storm. I am therefore sending invitations to diehard fans capable of being officials and who have district pride to come forward and join our team as we embark on this journey of bringing back lost glory.”

He said there were no selection done on the 22 as they were the only 22 players available for camp and training.

“There were 22 players who raised their hands to represent Nadroga in the B.O.G. The results were not pleasing to many but will only be accepted if we are well aware of their build-up.”

He added there were three different sets of team make-up for the three different games played. Matawalu said in moving forward Nadroga would have to play nine matches within five weeks before the Courts Inter-District Championship gets underway on October 5.
