Govt Takes Road Show To Navosa

Government is taking its services to the people in the rural areas with a Road Show that would be held in Navosa next week.
Thomas Baker High School will be a hive of activity from September 13 to 15.
People from all areas are urged to attend and make the most of Government services that will be provided during the four days.
The private sector, including banks will also be part of the road show.
Commissioner Western, Manasa Tagicakibau, said the services were for those people in the rural areas who did not have access to Government’s help.
He said his staff have been working around the clock preparing for this event which included liaising with landowners, school officials and the supply of power during the event, water and upgrade of roads.
The last road show held in Ra was a success with people coming in to register births, marriages and opening bank accounts.
“This road show is targeted towards the tikinas of Magodro, Navutusila and the community that live up in the Nausori Highlands,” Mr Tagicakibau said.
He said the population in these areas are between 1500 to 2000 people.
“The villages out there are distanced apart and not close like along coastal areas and because this Government will organise transportation for people from villages to the school grounds and return home.”
