The Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) announced their new board members at their annual general meeting that was held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort, Denarau on Wednesday.

The work of the AFI is driven by its members and overseen by a governing body called AFI Board directors.

Bank of Tanzania governor, Benno Ndulu continues to chair the AFI board of directors.

The board include:  Bank of Ghana governor – Abdul-Nashiru Issahaku, deputy governor at Bank Indonesia- Ronald Was, deputy governor at the Central Bank of the Russian Federation – Vladimir Chistyukhin, deputy governor at Banco Central do Brasil- Isaac Ferreira, superintendent at SBS Peru- Javier Poggi, governor at Bangladesh Bank- Fazle Kabir and AFI executive director – Alred Hanning.

Following their AGM, AFI hosted an awards night in which they gave away eight prestigious awards to the dynamic institutions and individuals.
