The Rewa football team are confident of beating Nadi in tomorrow’s Vodafone Premier League clash at Prince Charles Park.

Rewa coach Marika Rodu said they have had enough time to prepare as they aim to win their first Premier League title since its inception in 1977.

“Given that the Battle of the Giants has finished, our exit out of the competition in the semifinals has been a blessing for us,” he said.

“We did not retain the trophy but we have not let that get to us because our aim this year is to win the national league and qualify for the O-League.

“Since the B.O.G we have not wasted any time in preparing for this weekend’s game, we have more time to prepare.

“Ever since the national league started, we have failed to win and every year we have been making it our aim to win.

That is the drive the boys will be using this year to push themselves.”

The Delta Tigers will be boosted with the return of star striker Iosefo Verevou.

The match kicks-off at 1pm.
