It’s Going To Be Tough, Says Coach

The Suva football officials are excited about their chances at the Courts Inter District Championship (IDC). The officials were present at the pool draws that took place at Courts Mega Samabula yesterday.
The Nickel Chand captained- Suva side are in Group One along with minnows Nadroga, Labasa and INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament winners Lautoka.
Suva coach Gurjit Singh who spoke on their behalf said they find their pool a balanced one as they anticipate some good games.
“Both the pools are equally balanced and it’s good to see some tough teams like Labasa and Lautoka in our pool,” he said.
“Of course the competition is always tough and getting tougher by the day but I think it will be good to have them in our pool.
“All the teams will be well-prepared for the IDC so definitely we will be able to have some good games and the fact that it will be held in Suva makes things easy for us.”
TRANSFER WINDOW WORRY
With the opening of the Fiji Football Transfer and Registration window last week, Singh says, it will have an effect on their preparations.
“The transfer window will affect our preparations for the IDC because it ends at the end of the month,” he said.
“We won’t be able to know which of the players are moving or which of the players are coming in, we have to wait for the end of the month and after that we only have three or four days to prepare.
“So hopefully we maintain our players so we don’t face any problems,” he added.
