Faiyaz Siddiq Koya is ready for his new upcoming position.

The Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism has also taken on additional duties as the Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources after the cabinet reshuffle last Friday.

He said he is ready to accept new challenges as they come.

“I do not have a problem at all having an additional Ministry,” Mr Koya said.

“It is a new challenge for me and I am ready for it.

“I welcome the new Ministry and I am excited in working with the department.

“The reshuffle is normal for me and I have no problems at all as it shows my capability and ability to perform.”

Mr Koya said it would be challenging to cope with all five Ministries, but he is assured that his team are there to support him.

“After the opening of the Parliament, we will have the handover ceremony and I am surely looking forward to it,” Mr Koya said.

“I have not yet been to the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources, but shortly I will and get briefed on the duties of the Ministry.”

Mr Koya said he was committed to what the Government does and he was looking forward to the new responsibilities coming his way.
