Red and Yellow won the Toorak Schools Inter-house athletics meet at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.

As preparation of the Fiji Primary Schools Athletics  competition, three Toorak-based schools Annesley Infant Primary School, Suva Methodist Primary and Dudley Intermediate had their inter-house meet yesterday.

Red won the boys division with 16 gold, 10 silver, 14 bronze medals, Yellow came  second (10, 10, 12), Green (8, 10, 8) and, Blue  (5, 10, 4).

In the girls division, Yellow won with 14 gold, 7 silver and 9 bronze medals, Blue (12, 6, 5), Green ( 8, 17, 11) and Red (6, 11, 11).

With the Suva Zone One competition date yet to be confirmed, meet manager Joseva Vere said they aim to better their performance.

“We are looking forward to another successful athletics season,”Vere said.

“The Toorak schools are always dominant in the Suva Zone One meet and this year we want to better our performance.

“Our strength is in the short distance events and we want to thank all our supporters for always supporting us.”
