ODPP Receives File From Police On Possible Public Order Breach

ODPP reviews files against six men detained over the weekend

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions confirms having received from the Police (14.09.16) the files of six people who are alleged to have breached the Public Order Decree.

Those people are SODELPA party leader Sitiveni Rabuka, National Federation Party leader Biman Prasad, Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry, SODELPA official Tupeni Baba, Fiji Islands Council of Trade Unions general secretary Attar Singh and Pacific Dialogue executive Jone Dakuvula.

The files will be reviewed in the normal manner and the Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr Christopher Pryde, will make a decision on what charges, if any, following the review.
