Rewa football coach Marika Rodu says, they are gunning for a win in their Vodafone Premier League showdown against Lautoka at Prince Charles Park, Nadi on Sunday.

The Delta Tigers are determined to win their first ever Vodafone Premier League and secure a spot in the OFC Champions League.

Rewa coach Marika Rodu told SUNsports yesterday they are aware of the importance of winning three points to keep their hopes alive.

Rodu said he was encouraged watching his players adopt the counter attack pattern.  “Now our plan is to go and secure the three valuable points. We have to work on the dynamics of our defence and our midfield to see out the game”.

Fatigue after Rewa’s commitments in the B.O.G is a real concern for Rodu.

“One of our goals is to improve our fitness level so that we are able to be competitive this weekend. As we go along I think every game is tough so we can’t avoid starting players that are unfit to play,” Rodu added.
