Team Vodafone Top Business House Bowling

Team Vodafone started their campaign in the 2016 Vodafone business house bowls on a high note when they beat Babasiga Lions 35-10 in the first round at the Nadi Sports and Social Club on Wednesday night.
Vodafone with the services of two experienced players Bobby Prasad, national rep Rajnesh Prasad, Anup Kumar and Rajnil Pillay proved too strong for the Lions which had the services of Keegan Jaduram.
“It was an easy match for us but it will be tough as we go along in the pool matches,” said Vodafone skipper Bobby Prasad.
HRF Investments with the likes of Kanda Mudaliar and Rajnesh Narayan beat Higgins 29-8 in the other pool A encounter. In pool 2 Kiwis won over Abraham Khan’s Grog Boyz 19-14.
Fiji Airways with the inclusion of Sitiveni Tikoisuva, Dan Vinod, Vini Vinod and Amrit Aitcheson proved too strong for Coliseum Limited 22-7.
Airports Fiji Limited beat Pacific Embroidery 28-7 in pool three while Islands Electric with national reps Anup Kumar and David Aitcheson escaped with a narrow victory over Williams and Gosling Sea Freight which had the services of Rick Eyre and Lema Mateilevu.
Pawan Kumar and Dewa Anand were the formidable bowlers for Neptune Shipping as they pipped Deoji Footwear 21-20 while Design Construction beat Williams and Gosling Air Freight (Santok Singh and Kaushal Pillay).
The event was officially opened by Vodafone business accounts manager Ranjita Singh.
She said Vodafone is proud to be associated with all sorts of sports in the country and not only rugby and football alone.
“It is good to know that junior golfers are also part of the sport in Nadi,” said Singh.
The next round of competition continues next Wednesday.
