Three Vodafone Fiji customers have won $10,000 each after participating in the mobile operator’s Pick Six Lottery Game 25.

The lucky winners are Tomasi Biumaiwai, Suleman Rahim and Anjani Nair.

Mr Biumaiwai said he was very excited and could not believe the good news told by a Vodafone representative.

“When I received a call saying they calling from Vodafone, at first I thought it was a hoax as I thought somebody was playing jokes on me as I had not won something big like this in my entire life,” Mr Biumaiwai said.

Mr Rahim, 65, a grader operator from Tokotoko, Navua was also amongst the three who won the cash.

He said it was a great return for his $1.50 investment.

“I was just overexcited after getting the news that I was one of the three lucky winners and I was also surprised to know that my six lucky numbers indeed turned lucky,” Mr Rahim said.

“I have been a faithful Vodafone customer since the very first day I bought my first mobile phone years ago.

Mr Rahim added Vodafone always have good promotions and this win will now help him with the renovation of his house.

The third winner, Ms Nair also, echoed similar sentiments thanking Vodafone for the win.

“I entered by second child’s date of birth as the lucky six numbers. This was my third attempt at the Pick Six lottery game,” she said.

She added that she was leaving the money aside for her two boys.

Fiji’s first mobile lottery service, Vodafone’s PICK 6 lottery, which started in August 2014, has gained prominence amongst the lottery players across the country, said Vodafone’s chief financial officer, Divik Deo.

Till date, 56 Fijians have won cash in the Pick 6 Lottery games.
