Usamate, Bhatnagar Leave With Anticipation On New Posts
Ministry of Health and Medical Services yesterday farewelled its outgoing minister and assistant minister.
The event was held at the Ministry’s head office in Toorak.
Jone Usamate who had served two years as the Health Minister reflected on the first time he was called up to take up the position.
“I have been grateful to be given the opportunity and learnt a lot, to be able to travel around Fiji with the various health staff, and those that I have worked alongside over the past two years,” said Mr Usamate.
He applauded the hardworking and dedicated staff of the ministry and encouraged them to continue the good work of providing good service to the people of Fiji.
An emotional Veena Bhatnagar shared similar sentiments as she reflected on her journey as the assistant minister for health.
The ministers leave with anticipation as they take up their new posts.
