Lautoka Dominate Army Wives Comp

Lautoka will be the team to beat in today’s quarterfinals of the Army Wives and Mothers Volleyball competition at the LICI Courts. RFMF Wives and Mothers Club president Bale Vosaicake said yesterday Lautoka’s dominance over the years would be a challenge for other teams to step-up to them.
“Lautoka has been the team to beat over the last couple of years for volleyball so it will make things interesting this year,” Vosaicake said.
“But I believe all the teams have come prepared and they are all looking forward to the quarterfinals and finals.
“The first day of competition has been really good, we finished earlier than expected but nonetheless, everyone enjoyed themselves.” Vosaicake said the main reason they have had such tournament is to bring all the wives and mothers together.
“This tournament has been happening for a long time now, even I joined back in 1997 and it has been going on way before I joined. “The main aim of this is to get everyone together because we are a big family and this gives everyone a chance to meet and get to know each other.”
Today’s competition starts at 8am.
