Man On Wanted List Arrested
A man who has been wanted by Police for over a year now has been arrested and is in custody.
A bench warrant was issued for Mukesh Raj Naidu for a pending court case and he was also wanted for questioning in relation to his alleged involvement in the illegal sale of land lots in Tacirua.
Raj was arrested by a team of officers in Nadi yesterday morning and was brought to Suva where he was questioned and has been charged with one count of disobedience of lawful order and three counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception.
For the three counts, he is alleged to have obtained more than $28,000 from three different people for land lots sold illegally. He is expected to be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court on Monday.
