The South Pacific Stock Exchange will be in the West next Saturday carrying out an Investor Awareness and Broker Consultation session at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi.

This will be in partnership with its licensed stockbroking firms and will be held on September 24 from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

This is a free of charge awareness initiative and the general public is invited to come down and visit us to learn about share investments.

The first half of the session will feature a presentation from SPSE focused on the mechanics of the stock market.

The second half of the seminar will feature a broker consultation session which will provide the participants an opportunity to meet with a stockbroker representative to discuss their financial.

SPSE chief executive, Latileta Qoro, said: “It is part of the continuing efforts of the Exchange to increase investor awareness regarding investment options in the share market.

“Through our ongoing communication with the West based individuals, it is always apparent that investor interest does exist.

“However, due to the unavailability of the Exchange or any of the broker representatives in the Western division, this interest rarely converts into actual investments.”

Attendees will also be given a chance to participate in a Question and Answer session to obtain clarity.
