The Lautoka Football Association rewarded their players for winning the INKK Battle of the Giants tournament with $30,000, which was shared amongst the players. The winning prize-money of $15,000 won by the Singh’s Rentals Lautoka side was doubled with donations from corporate sponsors.

Association president, Abdul Kadar said he was extremely proud of the players’ achievement and that the citizens of Lautoka had rallied behind the team’s success.

Chief Guest for the night, Shiv Bhan Singh, son of Singh’s Group of Companies managing director Ruban Bhan Singh said the company was proud to be behind the success.

“We will continue to back Lautoka in the years to come,” Shiv told the players.

Also present was Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel who also congratulated the side for winning the tournament after 31 years. The team also received gifts from several business houses.

Kadar said the task for the association was not over as they are intending on winning the Vodafone Premier League and the upcoming Courts Inter District Championship.
