Isaac Tigrett started the now global Hard Rock Café  brand at the age of 22

Isaac Tigrett has visited the Port Denarau part of a global brand he co-founded: The Hard Rock Cafe. And the successful American businessman spoke of the importance of ethics in business.

He said: “I tour now in particular universities, colleges, business groups and lecture on ethics and business because that was the big part of success for the Hard Rock, being ethical.”

Mr Tigrett was in Fiji to attend a conference in the Mamanucas had a first glimpse of Hard Rock Café at Port Denarau on Denarau Island.

He started the Hard Rock Café at the age of 22 in 1971.

He sold it 20 years ago to commit to his family. He also founded the House of Blues brand, which also went international.

Mr Tigrett believes that there are two types of people who go to work every day, one who is unloved and the other who is loved.

“At work you create a surrogate family and give those ethics that you believe in and it has to come from the top in proving you mean what you say and flowers start to grow.

“These kids who have been unloved change and that was the biggest change for me,” he explained

In Fiji, one of the most exciting things to do was to drink Fiji Water in Fiji says Mr Tigrett.

His own success dwells along and amongst the musicians and celebrities who performed at cafes and concert venues he helped found.
