Tacirua and Uluinakau will meet in the final of the Nasinu Rugby Union club competition at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks next Saturday.

Tacirua edged Matuku Youth 13-12 in the first semi-final yesterday and Uluinakau walloped Newtown 24-5 to book a spot in the final.

With 20 minutes remaining, Tacirua trailed 8-12 but teamwork and strong defensive work rewarded them with a try in the dying minutes.

Fijian rugby 7s squad member Josua Vici boosted Uluinakau.

Nasinu Rugby president Paula Biu said they were impressed with the turnout and looks forward to a successful final next Saturday to end the season.

“It was a successful semi-final match-ups, we had good crowd which is a positive sign for us.

“We are anticipating a good ending to a successful season with the final on Saturday,” Biu said.

He commended the support of major sponsor Pacific Building Solutions (PBS).

“We want to thank PBS who have been supportive right from the beginning,” he added.
