Drama In Labasa

Three players were taken to Labasa Hospital after sustaining injuries during the Vodafone Premier League at Subrail Park in Labasa yesterday.
During the first match between Labasa and Jack’s Nadi, Edwin Sahayam of Labasa was injured.
Jack’s Nadi player Ilimotama Jese while trying to kick the ball hit Sahayam below the right eye and was yellow carded by the referee Kritesh Prasad.
Medical attendant Ravinesh Singh referred Sahayam to Labasa Hospital where he received five stitches and was discharged.During the second match between Dreketi and Ba, one player from each team received injuries.
Peni Sokia of Dreketi had a cut above his left eye and was referred to Labasa hospital where he was given four stitches and discharged.
And Ba goalkeeper Misiwini Nairube was rushed to Labasa Hospital complaining of chest pain after he clashed with Dreketi player Ashneel Raju.
Raju was flashed the yellow card by referee Salesh Chand.
Ba coach Imdad Ali said Nairube was discharged from hospital.
“Nairube had bruises and was checked and discharged. He is back with the team and he has been advised by the Labasa Hospital to nurse the bruises as there was no internal injury,” Ali said.
Also two players were given red cards.
