Ravosai Scores 2 In Nadi’s Win

Nadi beat Labasa 2 -1 in the Vodafone Premier League at Subrail Park yesterday. And the jetsetters returned home unbeaten after securing a 2-2 draw against Dreketi on Saturday.

Nadi beat Labasa 2 -1 in the Vodafone Premier League at Subrail Park yesterday.

And the jetsetters returned home unbeaten after securing a 2-2 draw against Dreketi on Saturday.

 

What happened?

The westerners took the lead in the 9th minute through team captain Eliki Ravosai.

The Babasiga Lions fought back and equalised on the 33rd minute with a goal from Ratu Anare.

Both teams received red cards with the first given to Napolioni Qasevakatini on the 60th minute and two minutes later Labasa striker Manasa Levaci was sent off.

Ravosai put the final nail on the Labasa coffin on the 90th minute.

Fulltime: Nadi 2 – 1 Labasa.

“The secret was to apply pressure on Labasa because they are very fast.

“We will now focus on our next match.”

Labasa manager Ravinesh Chand;

“The boys performed well and we will now prepare for our next match.”
