Telecom Fijiana assistant coach Iliesa Tanivula will not apply for the Vodafone Fijian 7s head coach job.
Tani made the confirmation yesterday.
“No, not applying for 7s job,” Tanivula stated.
The former New Zealand 7s rep and Fiji 7s coach has been working closely with outgoing coach Ben Ryan for the past two years.
He was relegated to assist Telecom Fijiana head coach Chris Cracknell during the 2016 Rio Olympics last month.
Epeli Lagiloa
Former national 7s team manager and Fiji National University sports science lecturer Epeli Lagiloa is keen to have a crack.
“I am going to apply, give it a go.
“We should have faith in ourselves and believe that we can do it,” Lagiloa said.
