Sigatoka Villager,  in Nadroga died on Saturday after the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle

The driver of a vehicle in an accident which ended a man’s life last Saturday, will face interrogation from Police once he is released from hospital.

This follows Police information that the 48-year-old driver and his passengers were allegedly under the influence of alcohol when the accident happened at Nayawa in Nadroga.

Police spokesperson, Inspector Jokatama Qio said the driver was currently admitted at the Lautoka Hospital.

“Police cannot do anything until he is released from the hospital.

“We will have to wait for his release before any questioning is done,” Inspector Qio said.

The driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle which resulted in the vehicle veering off the road and hitting a tree.

The driver and the passengers were rushed to the  Sigatoka Hospital where one of the passengers died while the other passenger was admitted.
