A man who allegedly posed as a doctor has been further remanded by the Nasinu Magistrates Court.

Seba Sitiano Bukanikoro, 52, appeared before Magistrate Sufia Humza.

Police prosecutor Constable Raymond Filipe asked for more time to look at the bail application filed by the Legal Aid Commission.

Bukanikoro is charged with four counts each of obtaining property by deception and one count of use of certain titles or descriptions prohibited.

It is alleged that Bukanikoro between September 3 and September 7, at Nasinu being a person not registered on the appropriate register, used the relevant term doctor and surgeon to describe himself for a service that he provided.

It is also alleged that he dishonestly obtained $150, $75, $150 and $75 from four different people with intention to permanently deprive them of their property.

The case has been adjourned to September 28 for mention.
