Post Fiji Limited is currently searching for an ideal temporary vacant place to resume its services in Seaqaqa, Vanua Levu.

This is after their Post Shop was severely damaged as a result of fire on September 14.

Post Fiji Limited head of retail and marketing Isaac Mow said their divisional manager Northern was negotiating with landlords in Seaqaqa to begin a basic postal services.

“Once this is done we will temporarily replace postal boxes, so that customers can receive their monthly statements and bills,” Mr Mow said.

“Also we will resume with services such as sales of stationery and Western Union services for the people of Seaqaqa.

“For the time being customers have been requested and informed to divert any postal related transaction to Labasa Post Fiji,” he said.

“As for the reimbursement of international and local parcels, we are looking into this.

“We will have to find out the contents of the parcels and whether it was insured or not.

“If it was insured then it will reimbursed which will take some time.”

Mr Mow was unaware about the cause of the fire and was awaiting the National Fire Authority reports.

NFA chief fire officer Qionilau Moceitai said investigation was expected to be completed at the end of this week and a fire report would be handed over to the Police.
