Needy people in Ba will soon be smiling as the TFL sponsored Ba Farmers Carnival aims to raise funds for them.

Divisional Police Commander West SSP Marika Yalimaiwai opened the festival last night at the Gujerati Grounds.

Last night was multicultural night with a special feature being a break dance group from Canada.

Today has been set aside for an Inter-Faith service.

Six contestants are vying for the crown when the festival ends next Saturday.

They represent some of the areas around Ba, namely Varoko, Mota/Naloto, Koronubu, Rarawai, Veisaru and Varavu
