The Fijian Under-21 netball side have settled in after arriving in Auckland, New Zealand on Saturday ahead of the Oceania Netball World Youth qualifier which starts today.

The Vicki Wilson-coached team took timeout yesterday as they prepare to play Tonga in their opening match at 10:30am and Samoa at 7pm today.

Wilson is confident of a positive result as they aim for a top finish to qualify for the 2017 World Youth Championship in Botswana.

“We need to make sure we qualify and for that we need to come out to the top 2,”Wilson said.

“Going to Botswana is very important, so the 13 players I have selected are ready for the competition.”

The Fijians will play an invitational team Netball Northern in their third game tomorrow at 1pm.
