Two locally-produced shows that will be televised soon are in line with the terms of Fiiji Television’s 12-year licence which obligates the broadcaster to air at least 95 hours of local content by 2017.

Fiji TV announced yesterday the launching of its two new shows: Mavis @ 5.30 and MeriKahaani – Season 3.

Mavis @ 5.30 aims to feature segments that will accommodate issues of national and human interest and stories that also showcase some of our influential figures.

One of the main targets would be women from all walks of life.

This show aims to help promote life skills and life lessons – given by people who have risen to new and challenging platforms of authority through sheer perseverance and hard work.

Mavis @ 5.30 Season Premiere is on October 3, 2016.

Meanwhile, Fiji TV’s seasonal Hindi show, MeriKahaani will also be returning to the screen for its third season on air.

The locally-produced Hindi show also features moving stories of triumph, sacrifice and hard work.

This season will also see a new show format.

MeriKahaani will show on October 5, 2016, at 8.15pm.
