FRU To Decide

The Telecom Fijian Warriors could travel without Vodafone Flying Fijian head coach, John McKee, to the Amercias Pacific Challenge (APC) in Uruguay from October 8-16.
It is understood questions were raised on whether it was necessary for McKee to travel with the Warriors who have had an impressive record under head coach Senirusi Seruvakula.
In 2014 and again last year, Seruvakula took the Warriors on their South American tour where they won all their three matches against Uruguay and an Argentina XV.
When approached yesterday McKee said he was still in Sydney and would confirm that once he returns this weekend.
Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor told SUNsports that he is expecting McKee to be back in the country this weekend.
“He (McKee) is in overseas and when he comes then I will have a chat with him,” O’Connor said.
He also confirmed that no decision is yet to be made on the replacement of Warriors hooker Sireli Ledua.
The Northland captain pulled out because of his commitment during the Ratu Sukuna Bowl challenge.
The APC 2016 will be a round robin, first past the post tournament format played across three competition rounds.
The Warriors are in Pool B with Canada A and Uruguay A, while the Argentina Jaguars, USA A and Samoa A are in Pool A.
