FHL Group Recognises, Rewards Hardworking Employees

Fijian Holdings Group continues with its 12-year-old tradition of recognising and rewarding its staff members for their hard work and commitment.
Ten special awards were handed out the past Saturday at the Annual FHL Group Awards Night at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
The event was attended by more than 1000 guests made up of FHL employees and directors. Spouses were also invited.
This year, the event was hosted by Pacific Cement Limited with the theme “Innovation Journey”.
Group chief executive, Nouzab Fareed, said that every year there were outstanding employees or teams. They worked under pressure to ensure that the FHL achieved its goal of being the leaders in our chosen field of business.
“It’s our way of paying tributes to those who excelled and thrived to take FHL forward,” he said.
During the event, two group associate companies, namely Pernix (Fiji) Ltd and Golden Manufacturers also rewarded their staff.
Umesh Kumar, the Head of Operation at Standard Concrete Industries, received the most Valuable employee of the group. Amrish Lal of Pacific Cement received the Group employee of the year.
Manager Reservations at South Sea Cruises, Lailanie Burnes, was also awarded the prize of best customer service in the Group.
Group Companies also entertained the crowd and this showed the talent they had apart from those shown through work.
